This project shows that industrial housing need not be repetitive building blocks with standardised flats within.
 
Using the skylight staircase as the core of the building; four well-ventilated flats, open on three sides were worked around this core on each floor. Thus, pleasant public and private spaces were created for residents. This nurtured a feeling of community, but also created the privacy required by residents.
