Nature
is the underlying force, behind all my paintings.
‘Prakriti’, itself is vast, mysterious,
peaceful and in complete harmony by itself.
Though its elements such as clouds, trees,
Mountains, Sea waves, underwater forms,
I wish to express its mysteriousness by
using fluid colours,I am using oil colours
as my medium in such a manner that it gives
an effect of water |
colours – thus breaking away from the normal
routine boundaries of oil colours. The translucency,
flow of water and water coming into contact
with anyother form/element, particularly
attracts me the most.My patches of colours
are similar to a moment frozen in time.
Moments when water touches milk, it embraces
sand or the mere hide-n-seek of the clouds
drives me to a frenzy – and a painting is
born. Painting gives me a spiritual contentment
and an inner peace. My attempt is to bring
the peace and Harmony of the Nature on my
paintings using grey tonal values.
A
closer look at my paintings will depict
an intense variety of moods. It is not only
the forceful impact of nature but also the
day – to – day happenings play an important
role on working on my feelings, directing
me to use particulars colours for the end
result. In this universe, every form is
related to every other form and there is
a communication between them. It is this
very communication that I want to bring
on my paintings. Paintings is, thus, a medium
for me to attain the "Super Natural"
state.
Just as the vibrations of music touch our
body, mind and soul. I want the nature to
envelop me completely. I wish to be one
with nature for that is the only way to
have its taste. I am certain that every
painting of mine is a step closer to my
goal. For it is a growing experience for
me, step by step; painting after painting.
